Hearts of Oak keep parading players who journalists struggle to make news of at their post-match press conferences for the simple fact that they do not feature in matches concerned.

Tetteh Luggard was paraded alongside coach Herbert Addo after the epic 3-2 win over Aduana Stars on Wednesday.

Not only did the club miss a golden opportunity to draw capital out of the good win, but then the goalkeeper was left in an embarrassing state as no question of relevance was fielded to him.

Herbert Addo in a frail voice had remind reporters who were set to pick up their recorders to have a session with the Aduana Stars team of the presence of Luggard at the post-match press conference.

The response from the crowd of reporters was: “He did not play, what questions do you expect us to ask him?”

Hearts did same in their home defeat to New Edubiase some weeks ago where Abdoulaye Soulama who didn’t feature in the game was put before reporters alongside Herbert Addo for post-match reactions.

Usually the club’s Public Relations Office is responsible for selecting which player is to pair with the coach for official pre and post match comments.

Often and especially for post match press conferences, players that excel are the most preferred candidates.

So in the case of Hearts’ win over Aduana Stars, Gilbert Fiamenyo will be most preferred for a variety of reasons which will be good in the promotion of the Ghanaian top flight that authorities so crave for.

The striker broke his barren run for a while after an impressive start to the campaign and to many pundits put in a man of the match performance in the win over Aduana.

But rather, Tetteh Luggard who didn’t even warm up as a possible substitute for the game was put before a sea of recorders to speak.

Clearly, someone at Hearts of Oak is doing a lousy job in understanding the need to put up the appropriate candidates for especially post match reactions and this must end!!!
