Chelsea's Cesc Fabregas Sets Premier League Record After Display Against Stoke

"?Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has become the quickest player to reach 100 Premier League assists.


The 29-year-old spent eight years with Arsenal, racking up numerous assists before joining Chelsea, with a three year spell at Barcelona in between. 


He has found his first team opportunities limited so far this season due to the form of Nemanja Matic and N'Golo Kante in central midfield, but Fabregas has featured more regularly in recent months and impressed during Chelsea's 4-2 victory over Stoke.

"?"?The Spaniard racked up two assists during his side's win, becoming the first non-British player to reach 100 assists when he set up Willian in the second half. He is also the fastest player to reach the milestone, taking just 293 appearances to reach his century.


Fabregas is only the fourth player to achieve the feat, alongside ex-Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs, current Red Devils forward Wayne Rooney and former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard. While the midfielder will need to rack up a further 63 assists to overtake Giggs, he is just one behind Rooney and three behind Lampard.
