England youth international Ademola Lookman will in the coming days meet with top officials of the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) over a potential switch of allegiance to Nigeria.

Lookman is on loan to German side RB Leipzig from English Premier League side Everton, and the forward who first met with officials from Nigeria last year is open to the idea of playing for Nigeria despite his present status as a youth international for England.

The talks ended with the forward reportedly telling the NFF that he will consider their approach after representing England at the 2017 U20 Championship which England won.

Nigeria have now approached him for further talks and according to German news outfit Welt, Lookman has been promised a spot in Nigeria’s squad to the World Cup in Russia later in the year.

He got his loan spell in the Bundesliga off to a flying start when he netted the winner on his debut by scoring the lone goal for RB Leipzig against Borussia Monchengladbach last weekend ?

A decision is not expected to come swiftly but there are indication that he is seriously considering the option of playing for Nigeria even though he still fancies his chance with the senior squad.
