Wakaso Mubarak will be hoping that the African Cup of Nations is the answer to get him back on track at Celtic.
The winger, who signed for the Bhoys on loan from Rubin Kazan, made a blistering start to his career in Scotland, but his performances have dipped in quality since.
After the 24-year-old scored on his debut for the club against Red Bull Salzburg, Ronny Deila was effusive in his praise of Wakaso.
"It looks like he could become a fans’ favourite at Celtic," he said to the Daily Mail. "Our fans like quick players, players who can go past people and who have energy. Wakaso had that in his game."
Since, things haven't exactly gone to plan, though. The speedster has only gone on to make another nine appearances for the Bhoys and when on the pitch he has frustrated rather than excited.
Wakaso has shown that pace that Deila immediately identified, but he has been unable to find any end product for all his threat.
Happy to run at defenders, Wakaso has got himself into dangerous positions on numerous occasions only to waste the opportunity.
Pressure has grown on him at Parkhead to make the desired impact and, as a result, his time out of the limelight at the African Cup of Nations could do him good.
Wakaso was selected as part of the Ghana squad to represent them in Morocco and the tournament could be a confidence boost for him.
