Bundesliga Side Hannover 96 Confirms Interest In Anthony Ujah

Coach of newly promoted German Bundesliga side Hannover 96 Horst Heldt has confirmed reports that his team are heavily interested in signing ex FC Cologne striker Anthony Ujah.

Ujah who now plays for Chinese side Liaoning following his move from Werder Bremen last summer is according to reports interested in a return back to the Bundesliga but his Chinese team are not willing to let him leave yet.

Liaoning signed the 26 year old Nigerian for €11.5m and it appears they are holding out for a fee a bit higher than the close to €8m Hannover 96 are offering at the moment for the forward, who scored double digit goals in all but one of the season he spent in Germany.

Despite agreeing terms with the out of favour Super Eagles striker, coach of Hannover 96 Horst Heldt say patience is what is needed in their bid to snatch the forward from the Chinese side.

” Let’s see if it works, we need patience, we are not going to push beyond our limit for any player, we can’t afford to discredit the ones we have because of one player “, he was quoted as saying in response to a question about their bid for Ujah.
