Bologna In For More Nigerian Players Following Exploits Of Okonkwo, Kingsley Michael & Uhunamure

Top scouts of Italian Serie A side Bologna will visit ?Nigeria in the coming days to run the rule on young players, who are likely to be transferred to the club.

Nigerian FIFA recognized player intermediary Sunny Nwachukwu told Owngoalnigeria.com that the exploits of three young Nigerian players at the club has motivated the club into searching for more Nigerian players.

The trio of Orji Okonkwo, Kingsley Michael and James Uhunamure have done really well for the Primavera side of the team, with Okonkwo extending his fine form to the first team, where he has three goals in the Serie A.

” There’s a big possibility that scouts from Bologna will be in Nigeria this year. The form of the Nigerian players at the club has helped me to convince them to follow me to Nigeria “, Sunny told Owngoalnigeria.com.

While Okonkwo is a very popular figure at the club due to his performance with the first team, Michael and Uhunamure have been churning out impressive performances for the Primavera team of the club.

Michael has so far played in ten Primavera games with a goal and an assist to his name, a form which has earned him training sessions with the first team. 17 year old Uhunamure has also forced his way into the Primavera team.

Born in Italy to Nigerian parents, the former Chievo U17 forward has taken to life in the Primavera team with ease following his promotion from the U17 before the start of the season.

So far he has played in 8 games, but the centre forward who is blessed with blistering pace and shooting abilities is yet to register a goal in the Primavera league.
