Awoniyi In Line For Shock Two-Year Loan Move To Monaco After Contract Extension With Liverpool

Liverpool forward Taiwo Awoniyi has agreed an extension to his contract at English Premier League side Liverpool.

Awoniyi trained with the Liverpool squad at their pre season camp yesterday after a successful loan spell in Belgium where he scored ten goals for modest side Mouscron.

His performance has earned him an extension with the club for a further three years with two years remaining on his current deal with the Merseyside outfit.

A loan move to Club Brugge was high on the menu for the 20 year old after an exchange with Gent for Moses Simon to move in the opposite direction fell through last week.

For now French Ligue 1 side Monaco are the front runners for his signature with Michael Emenalo, the Sporting Director of the principality outfit thrashing out terms on a two year loan deal.

Talks have reached an advanced stage for the forward to complete the move but both clubs are still ironing out the final details before the move is made official.
