Black Stars Coach Avram Grant was left astonished by the decision to go to the world cup without a physical trainer according to Black Stars management committee chairman George Afriyie.

The Israeli led Ghana to a silver winning feat at the just ended cup of nations in Equatorial Guinea despite taking charge of the team three weeks to the competition.

The former Chelsea boss augmented the technical department with the addition of Jamie Lawrence (Physical trainer) and Gerald (Video analyst) after taking up the job.

Both played a key role as Ghana finished second losing to the Ivory Coast 8-9 on penalties.

“When we interviewed Avram Grant he expressed shock that Ghana went to the World Cup without a physical trainer,”Geroge Afriyie told Accra based Happy FM

“So when we were going to the AFCON he requested for a physical trainer and a video analyst and we gave to him.”

The 60 year old is on a  10 day deserved  holiday break in London after a bright start to his tenure with the Black Stars

And he decided to camp in cold condition for games in hot condition. What happened to our first game was the manifestation of his decision to prepare in Spain. Why do we always sacrilege our own for foreigners. Who can compare any of our games at afcon to our game against Germany. When officials decided to sell Ghana for 100 thousand dollars, you don't blame a coach. Isn't it funny he was given a new contract after the world cup. Who gave that contract.

I give Avram Grant credit for bringing us Silver and introducing new able faces to the squad, yes more grease to his elbows but he is the most clueless Coach ever, i repeat EVER coached Ghana Black Stars in Tactics & Decisions. He appointed an assistant coach in disguise as an analyst. Whats a video analyst doing on the technical bench whilst he's needed in the video or camera room to tag/code or analyse matches for feedback in the locker room during halftime??? Does a video analyst setup training drills and sessions as well as give instructions during training??? Whats Maxwell's job then? did anyone see the Stars training before they left for Spain?? A coach as Lame as Avram Grant can never transform Ghana Football.. To my opinion he should be shown the exit door after his contract expires. Compare Ghana's performance at the World Cup to the AFCON despite chaos in camp back then. Stop throwing dust into Ghanaians eyes..

I necessarily dont care about Grant but please spare us..... if you use ghana to enrich your CV and you cant perform when you move on then what? Its like telling me Maradona used drug to enhance his play..... then lets give Adomah same drugs and see if he could be compared to Diego. Truth be told that arguement is whack...... check all our past coaches and see where they are today or where they went after leaving us.... Avram came already tested than all the coaches we have hired.... prove me wrong. Not ssaying he is going to succeed, what i am saying is he might given the coaches we have hired.

I concur he might succeed given the talents in Ghana. And There's no doubt Grant came tested and have managed top elite clubs in World. Comparing Grant and all of our coaches on cv none can be compared to him. I expected better from Grant. From wiki source he was handed Chelsea job as a result of been a personal friend of Roman Abramovich but my argument is he is tactically and decision wise clueless. Even an amatuer coach could have read the games better especially our in the Quarter Final and Finals. he could have killed the game vs Ivory Coast in regulation time. No wise coach will keep his key players on the field when they are up by 3 at 75-80 mins vs Guinea. Thats why i said in my opinion. where does my opinion reach anyways??

And he was a big fool. Playing Kwadwo Asamoah in defense and concentrating on Rabiu, Adomah and Fatau.

Avram Grant will transform Ghana soccer if 25 million coaches would allow him to do his job without interferences. Many of the players have played their last games for Black Stars.
