AS Roma in Talks to Sign Manchester City's Pablo Zabaleta for £2.5m

"?Manchester City right back Pablo Zabaleta is in talks to sign a deal with Serie A giants AS Roma, report the "?Daily Mail.

Reports are suggesting that the Serie A side are set to offer £2.5m for the 31-year-old, which would end Zabaleta's eight year stay with Manchester City.

The full-back has found game time hard to come by recently after sustaining an injury and then loosing his place to Bacary Sagna during last season, taking part in only 13 Premier League fixtures.

This lack of playing time has given the Argentine concern and an incentive to move elsewhere in search of first team action. This is despite being a big favourite at Manchester City both with the squad and the fans.

The Argentine currently has only one year left on his current contract, which is not yet due to be extended under new boss Pep Guardiola.

However, Manchester City have insisted that they have not received a formal offer from Roma, for their experienced full back.

During Pablo Zabaleta's time with the Citizens he has won the Premier League twice, along with two League Cups and an FA Cup, within the space of eight years after signing in 2008 from Espanyol for £6.45m.
