Aribo had opened score for the Saints earlier on but the Bluebirds came back in the second half to win 2-1 at the Cardiff City Stadium.

The Nigerian opened score after he hit in from close range a rebound after Adam Armstrong's effort was pushed out by Cardiff goalkeeper Ethan Horvath.

However, Southampton were made for their wastefulness in front of goal as Famara Diedhiou equalised on 68 minute.

Teenager Cian Ashford then won it for Cardiff in injury time with a deflected shot from 25 yards.
