Anthony Annan: 1860 Munich new recruit says he's fully fit

Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan says he’s in a good physical condition after holding his first training session with German club 1860 Munich.

The 28-year-old combative midfield anchor has joined the German Bundesliga 11 outfit after end his stay with Finish champions HJK Helsinki.

Annan’s future had been blighted with injuries in recent times, ruling him out of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The injury also cost him his place in the Black Stars after he was overlooked for this year’s Africa Cup of Nations.

But the former Schalke midfielder says his fitness level is now up to scratch.

“I am physically fit and strong. I have the technique on the floor and will do my best for the club,” he said.

“I've noticed in the first practice session. I feel as a part of the family.

“I went to my country for Christmas holidays and I trained with my old colleagues to keep me fit. So it shouldn’t be a problem.

The ex-Hearts pocket-size midfielder could fight his way back into the Black Stars after returning to a major league side.
