Danish top division Brondby who were recently crowned Cup champions in Denmark are delighted with the performance of Nigeria U20 super teen Nazifi Yahaya who spent time in training with them.
Yahaya as exclusively reported by Owngoalnigeria.com shunned Belgium side Club Brugge after several disappointment in his bid to secure a visa and opt to train with Brondby in his bid to bag a deal.
Back in Nigeria, Yahaya’s performance impressed the technical crew of the team and if not for his age he would have signed professional terms with the club before returning to Nigeria.
The Kano Pillars forward will return back to the club in September to train with the squad again as the club want to start integrating him into their setup before he becomes eligible to sign a professional deal upon turning 18.
His agent Cem Sagar confirmed to Owngoalnigeria.com that he will return to Denmark in September and also said he is hoping that the performance of Yahaya has opened the door for more Nigerians to be given a look in by the Danish side.
” Brondby were really happy with the attitude of Nazifi Yahaya. They will invite him again in September. It will be a great achievement if he can open the door for other African players at the club. Presently they don’t have any in their first team or Academy “, Sagar of Diamond Sports told Owngoalnigeria.com in an exclusive chat.
