Spokesman of Andre Ayew, Fiifi Tackie says the Ghana forward is expected to be fully fit to begin pre-season with his new club in a fortnight.

Ayew signed a four-year contract to join Swansea on Wednesday after passing a medical.

The capture of the Ghana international represents a massive transfer coup by the English Premier League club with European heavyweights Inter, Roma and Dortmund all reportedly interested.

Ayew was however excused from international duty with the Black Stars for the opening 2017 AFCON qualifier against Mauritius over an unspecified injury.

But the former Olympique Marseille star’s spokesman Fiifi Tackie insists the unspecified injury is not serious.

“It is a minor injury,” he told Kasapa FM.

“I am sure by a week or two he will be fully fit to begin pre-season with his new club.”
