NPFL: Amoo Confident 3SC Up For Tough Enyimba Challenge

Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan head coach Fatai Amoo has expressed confidence that his team can get a positive result in Wednesday's Nigeria Professional Football League tie against Enyimba.

3SC are currently 19th in the league table on nine points but with a game in hand.

Their last game against newly promoted side Remo Stars ended 1-1 in Ibadan.

Amoo promised that his team will do everything possible to get something from the tie.

"We expect to do well, that what's we are aiming at," Amoo told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"We are facing a big team so we hope to give a good account of ourselves. It will be difficult but it is a game we have to play and give our best."

Amoo  who was in charge when Julius Berger lost in the final of the 2003 CAF Cup Winners' Cup against Etoile Du Sahel, stated that Shooting Stars current position on the log is giving him concern.

"It is a cause for worry (Shooting Stars current league position)," the former Nigeria U-23s coach added. "But at the same time it will make us work very hard. It will make us improve on those areas we've not been doing well, especially the goalscoring aspect of our game.

"In the games we have drawn at home, it has shown that we can be reckless when it comes to taking our chances.

"So, it calls for worry but at the same time, it calls for good planning and making positive corrections."
