Alex Iwobi questions Wenger's selection agaist Man City

Arsenal Nigerian forward Alex Iwobi has suggested that manager Arsene Wenger got his selection wrong in their 1-3 loss to Manchester City yesterday at the Etihad.

Big money buy Alexandre Lacazette was dropped from the starting line up, a decision which drew criticism from many fans of the club and Iwobi who started the game feels Lacazette should have started.

“We had an extra attacking player going forward but at the end of the day we set up very well to play against City and we were just unfortunate. Maybe if he’d started on the wing it would have been different, but it is what it is”, he told Arsenal.com

Speaking on the third goal scored by Man City , which was created by David Silva who was in an offside position same as Gabriel Jesus who scored, Iwobi also agreed that the goal was scored from an offside position.

“We were pushing to get the equaliser but unfortunately the referee wasn’t able to see that it was offside. There’s nothing that you can do, we just have to move on to the next game”, he said.
