Alex Iwobi Is The Premier League Assist King After 5 Games

The Premier League season is now five games old and whilst it is too early in the season to be making assumptions about who will finish where or who the stars of the show will be come the end of the campaign, it is still interesting to see how the statistics are shaping up at this early stage of the season.

So which Premier League player has been the king of the assists so far this season?

It’s hard to tell exactly, but Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi appears to snatch it.

Manchester City pair Kevin De Bruyne and Kelechi Iheanacho are both on three assists of their own as is Dimitri Payet of West Ham.

But Arsenal’s young Nigerian talent has done the same with less game time.

Arsenal are used to dominating assist columns, usually due to German international Mesut Ozil.
