"?With the signing of 17-year-old Swede Aleksander Isak from AIK Solna, Dortmund have now all but confirmed their reputation as the place to be for Europe's best young players.

The highly rated Isak, who was snatched from the powerful jaws of Real Madrid by the Bundesliga club, arrives having been dubbed the heir of Zlatan Ibrahimovic by some.

But it's not really a huge surprise that he turned down a potentially more glamorous move in favour of the Westphalia club. Dortmund's current group of youngsters is scarily impressive, particularly now with Isak's signature confirmed.

The likes of Christian Pulisic, Ousmane Dembele, Felix Passlack and Emre Mor are all teenagers with vast potential, while players such as Mikel Mereno and Julian Weigl are still in their early 20s.

Then there are the proven examples that Dortmund are a club that know exactly how to progress the careers of young players; Marco Reus and Mario Gotze to name just two.

Isak scored 13 goals in 29 appearances for AIK Solna having made his debut at the age of just 16.

Dortmund sporting director, Michael Zorc, has been impressed by what he's seen of the wonderkid, telling the "?club's official website: "Alexander Isak is a high-calibre player who was wanted by a number of top European clubs.

"We are very glad that he has decided on Borussia Dortmund. BVB is just as convinced as the player that this transfer is one with great potential."
