Super Eagles of Nigeria failed to create any meaningful chance in the first half which ended 0-0, but seven minutes after the hour mark Serbia took the lead.

Mitovic was left unmarked inside the Nigerian box and the striker who is on loan to Fulham from Newcastle United stroke home a well delivered cross from Dusan Tadic to put Serbia ahead.

Nigeria failed to mount any sufficient challenge to alter the score line as Serbia hanged on to clinch a well deserved 2-0 win over the Super Eagles of Nigeria
