Ajani Ibrahim Optimistic 3SC Won’t Be Relegated From NPFL

Despite occupying the bottom of the Nigeria Professional Football League table, Shooting Stars of Ibadan striker Ajani Ibrahim has expressed confidence that the Ibadan-based club will not be relegated.

Shooting Stars were defeated 1-0 by MFM FC at the Agege Stadium on Sunday.

The only goal of the game was scored by Monday Shishinma in the 21st minute.

Ibrahim who was in action for Shooting Stars in the game against MFM, stated that nothing will be decided until the end of the season.

"I believe Shooting Stars have what it takes to remain in the first division," Ibrahim told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"The league still has a long way to go and there are still many games to play, so I believe we can escape relegation."

Ibrahim however blamed Shooting Stars' defeat on his side's profligacy in front goal.

"The problem was that we missed a lot of scoring chances," Ibrahim said.

"They had their own chance and scored and you know in football, it is the team that scores that will win."
