Nigeria Flying Eagles ended their poor outing at the African Games football event after failing to win their last game of the group stage on Friday night,Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The 7-time champions of Africa who needed a point to join group B leader, Uganda to the next round lost 3-2 to Senegal at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Former U-17 star, Charles Agada, opened the scoring in the second minute for the Flying Eagles.

However, Senegal equalled score almost immediately through Idrissa Gueye before giving his side the lead with his second before halftime.

Chibueze Izuogu restored parity for Nigeria early at the resumption of the game, but Senegal regained the lead through a goal in the 65th minute, ultimately securing victory.

Despite Nigeria’s late efforts and even being reduced to 10 men, Senegal held on to win, putting an end to the participation of the Flying Eagles in the competition.
