Word coming out of the Bafana Bafana camp in Gabon is that Shakes Mashaba and his men have arrived safely in the capital Libreville where they’ve set up camp.

Bafana left Johannesburg on Wednesday afternoon en route to Equatorial Guinea for the upcoming 2015 CAF Africa Cup of Nations tournament. However, they will first play a friendly against Cameroon in Gabon.

The flight took them an hour before they landed at Libreville’s Leon M’ba International Airport and in a statement released to the press, they were greeted by a hot, humid afternoon with rain showers before checking into their hotel.

“The team will have a rest in the morning and will train in the afternoon with another session scheduled for Friday, 9 January, before taking on Cameroon in an international friendly match as part of preparations for AFCON 2015,” reads the statement.

“The clash against the Indomitable Lions will take place on Saturday, 10 January at the Stade de L’amitie in Libreville.”

Kick-off for the match is set to be at 20:00 (21:00 SA time) and, according to statement, a second warm up match for Bafana is being finalised and is scheduled to be played on 13/14 January in Gabon.
