Nigeria’s Super Eagles midfielder, Alhassan Yusuf has disclosed his return him to be in two-days time thereby ruling home out of the tie against Guinea-Bissau on Monday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The defensive midfielder was subbed off in Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations opener against Equitorial-Guinea a week ago due to muscular injury injury which consequently took him off the game agent Côte d’Ivoire.

Although the injury was reported not to have been a serious one but the Royal Antwerp midfielder has now spent a week with the physios.

“I suffered a contusion of the thigh muscles, but the recovery is going well,” Yusuf said.

“I hope in two, three days I will resume training.”

“I won’t rush to return because the team are doing well, they beat host nation Cote d’Ivoire,” he added.

This further revealed that the 25 year-old will miss will not face the Djurtus on Monday evening at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.
