Leicester City Midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has been ruled out of AFCON 2023 due to injury with Royal Antwerp midfielder, Alhassan Yusuf drafted in as his replacement, Nigeriasoccernet.com can report.
Ndidi missed Leicester City’s 4-1 home win over Huddersfield Town on Monday on account of the injury.
The 23-year-old Yusuf, who was on the provisional 41-man list is now expected to link up with the team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on Wednesday (today).
Wilfred Ndidi injury of late becoming consistent with the recent one happening less than six months ago and at a point when he is listed among the players to watch at AFCON, he will miss out.
