Guinea coach Michel Dussuyer says Ghana are  the favourites to win the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations title after they were thoroughly whitewashed 3-0 by the Black Stars in their quarter-final of the tournament in Equatorial Guinea.

A wonder goal from Christian Atsu helped Avram Grant’s Ghana into their fifth straight Nations Cup semi-final with a 3-0 victory over disappointing Guinea on Sunday.

Atsu opened the scoring for the Group C winners in the third minute and Kwesi Appiah, making his first competitive start, doubled their lead on the stroke of halftime, firing home from close range after a defensive howler.

Atsu then added a sublime third midway through the second half, with a long-range effort which looks likely to be a contender for goal of the tournament.

Despite starting the tournament slowly, Grant’s Ghana are growing in confidence and class -- both of which were evident in this convincing display.

Guinea coach Dussuyer says the Black Stars are likely to win the title following the display they put up in their match in Malabo on Sunday.

"Ghana deserve to win against us and can win the trophy as well. They have quality and will go all the way to the final," Dussuyer said in a post match interview.

"I'm very disappointed in my team because they didn't play too well. Iexpected more from them but in the end we couldn't contain the pressure from Ghana."

Ghana will meet hosts Equatorial Guinea in the last four.

Well said coach but the black stars play better when they are not tipped among the favorites.
