Winger Frank Acheampong is delighted to have made his long awaited debut for Ghana in the 3-0 win over Guinea on Sunday.

The 21-year-old came on as a second half substitute for two-goal hero Frank Acheampong after the Black Stars had virtually wrapped up the win.

Acheampong however showed glimpses of his quality for the very few minutes he spent on the field of play to ultimately remind coach Avram Grant of the quality he has in reserve.

The Anderlecht star however feels very proud to have been given the opportunity to play for Ghana at full international level.

“I feel very proud because it is a great feeling playing for a nation like Ghana,” he told MTNFootball.com.

“I thank God for this opportunity and I also thank my colleagues and the coaches for the confidence they had in me.”

Boy, these writers are just too lazy to read over what they write before posting. Acheampong came on for two-goal hero Acheampong? Get an editor. Anyway, great job Stars. Great showing by Akwasi Appiah. Acheampong looked good when he came on.
