Super Eagles Defenders Shehu Abdullahi and Stephen Eze have expressed their delight at being part of the Super Eagles squad as they prepare for the friendlies against Poland and Serbia.

The Eagles will officially kick off preparations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup when they take on Poland in Wroclaw on Friday.

They will then travel to London to face Serbia on Tuesday.

Both Eze and Abdullahi are already in Poland with the rest of the squad preparing for the games.

“Always a pleasure to be reunited with my Super Eagles teammates,” Abdullahi, who plays for Bursaspor in Turkey, tweeted and attached a picture of himself, Kenneth Omeruo and Ahmed Musa in Wroclaw.

Eze, who starred for the home-based Super Eagles at the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco and recently joined Bulgaria’s Lokomotiv Plovdiv from Kano Pillars, wrote: “At the Super Eagles camp in Wroclaw as practice sessions begin for friendly against Poland. The vibe in the camp is bustling and it’s an honor to be a part of many great talents.”

It will be Eze’s debut with the main Super Eagles team if he gets to feature against Poland on Friday. Kick-off is 8.45pm Nigerian time.
