Bursaspor of Turkey defender,ShehuAbdullahi has put his weight behind his first league club, Sokoto United to beat Kano Pillars in the round of 32 fixture of the Federation Cup.

Though Abdullahi last played for Kano Pillars in the Nigerian league, before going abroad to join Anorthosis Famagusta of Cyprus, footballlive.ng can report that it is for his first love, Sokoto United, in the city of his birth, that his loyalty is hanging.

Consequently, he has sent a video message and promise of cash reward to the club, should they send Pillars packing in this year’s Fed Cup.

It would be another top casualty for the Sokoto minnows, as they earlier sent Mountain of Fire & Miracles Ministry (MFM) FC of Lagos packing in the round of 64.

The 2-year-old Super Eagles defender started his playing career at his home town club, before he went on to represent Nigeria at the Championship of African Nations (CHAN 2016) in South Africa and 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Abdullahi, who played for Pillars before securing a move abroad in 2014, has promised his home town team N100,000for every goal they score against his former top-flight club.

“I’m just here to support you guys for the game that is coming up between Kano Pillars andSokoto United,” Abdullahi stated in a video message on social media
