3SC Players Boycott Training Over Unpaid Five Months Salaries

Published on: 13 September 2016

Players of Nigeria Professional Football League side, Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan (3SC), boycotted training on Tuesday due to the non-payment of their salaries. The players scooped are owed five months’ salaries and 10 match bonuses. The strike was earlier planned for last week but they put it on hold due to the importance of last weekend’s clash against traditional rivals Enugu Rangers which 3SC won 2-1. The Oluyole Warlords just like last season are battling hard to escape the drop. It remains to be seen if the players will honour this weekend’s matchday 36 clash against fellow relegation battlers Warri Wolves. The Gbenga Ogunbote-led side currently sit in the 14th position in the table.
