NPFL: 3SC coach Amoo targets Must Win Away Games To Avoid Relegation

Shooting Stars head coach, Fatai Amoo, believes his team's relegation survival will depend on how they perform in their remaining away games in the Nigeria Professional Football League, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Shooting Stars eased their relegation fears with a 1-0 home win against Katsina United thanks to Wasiu Jimoh's 44th minute goal.

The win took the Ibadan-based club to 15th on 36 points in the NPFL league table, lifting them out of the relegation zone.

But Amoo, whose team is yet to secure an away win this season (losing 10 and drawing four), stated that they have to start picking points on the road.

"The natural feeling is when you have something positive, one is expected to be happy so we are very happy with the win 9against Katsina United)," Amoo told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"We need to up our game, especially in our away matches if we must avoid relegation," Amoo said.

"We have to put in more effort not just when we play at home but also at our remaining away games because it will be key to our survival."

Shooting Stars next game is away to bottom team Remo on matchday 30 on Wednesday.
